The opportunity
I was brought in to completely redevelop Crunch's website from the ground up. Over the years, the site had accumulated layers of custom code from various developers, which made it overly complex and difficult to maintain. My role was to simplify the development process and create a scalable, future-proof system.
The solution involved rebuilding the website using the Client-First framework, ensuring that any trained designer could easily manage and update the site. This overhaul also provided the opportunity to improve the site’s structure, enhance the user journey, and implement advanced SEO techniques. As a result, we saw significant improvements in organic search performance, a streamlined process for creating landing pages, and a more cohesive, easy-to-manage design system.
Advanced JavaScript was applied strategically for more complex features, such as scroll-triggered animations, exit-intent pop-ups, and dynamic contact details that adjusted based on the time of day and day of the week.
